    A policeman returned to his police station one evening and reported to the sergeant that he had found an old car with no license plates."Where was it?"asked the sergeant."In Ecclesiastes Street,beyond the bridge,"answered the policeman.
    The sergeant opened the report book and began to write.He asked the policeman how to spell the name of the street,but he was not sure whether the spelling was correct.At last he decided the name was too difficult for him to spell.So he ordered the policeman to write the report.The policeman also tried to spell the name of the street,but he couldn't,either.Then the policeman put his helmet on and began to walk out slowly.
    "Where are you going?"the sergeant asked.
    "Back to Ecclesiastes Street."answered the policeman."I'm going to push the car round the corner into Green Street."

    一天傍晚，一個(gè)警察回到警察局，向警官報(bào)告說(shuō)他發(fā)現(xiàn)了一輛沒(méi)有牌照的舊汽車(chē)。
    “車(chē)在哪里?”警官問(wèn)?！霸?Ecclesiastes 大街，在橋的那邊?！本旎卮?。
    警官打開(kāi)報(bào)告本開(kāi)始記錄。他問(wèn)警察如何拼寫(xiě)那條大街的名字，但是他吃不準(zhǔn)他的拼寫(xiě)是否正確。最后他覺(jué)得這個(gè)名字太難，他拼不出來(lái)。所以，他命令警察來(lái)寫(xiě)報(bào)告。警察拼了半天，也拼不出來(lái)。警察戴上他的頭盔，慢慢地往外走。
    “你到哪里去?”警官問(wèn)。
    “回到 Ecclesiastes 大街去，”警察回答，“我要把那輛車(chē)推到 Green 大街的拐角上去。”
