倫敦國王學(xué)院是倫敦大學(xué)的兩大創(chuàng)校學(xué)院之一，1829年由英王喬治四世和首相威靈頓公爵于倫敦泰晤士河畔精華地帶建立，1836年與倫敦大學(xué)學(xué)院(UCL)聯(lián)合創(chuàng)立了倫敦大學(xué)。國王學(xué)院是英國金三角名校和羅素大學(xué)集團的成員，享有世界性的學(xué)術(shù)聲譽，尤以醫(yī)學(xué)和法學(xué)久負盛名，在各大學(xué)排名中始終位居世界前列。學(xué)院的校友及教員中共誕生了10位諾貝爾獎得主，文豪托馬斯·哈代、詩人約翰·濟慈，以及理論物理學(xué)巨擘彼得·希格斯皆是國王學(xué)院的畢業(yè)生。
