    　　Davidson offers new and current students a variety of living styles that includes 12 traditional residence halls, seven on-campus apartment buildings and a co-op style sustainability-themed house. The college typically houses first-year and upper-class students separately to ease new student transition and best respond to the needs of first-year students.
    　　First-year students are assigned housing with an option to change their living arrangements after fall semester. Returning students select housing through a lottery process that occurs at the beginning of spring semester.

    　　The largest residence hall housing up to 308 students, Belk Hall is a five-floor building in the center of campus. It also houses the Residence Life Office, CatCard Services, and the Student Computing Center.
    　　Sentelle Hall
    　　Sentelle is a five-floor residence hall located on Dorm Row, housing up to 104 students. Each floor in Sentelle has a large TV/study lounge.
    　　Richardson Hall
    　　Richardson is a five-floor residence hall located near Vail Commons dining hall and houses up to 136 students. Each floor in Richardson has a TV/study lounge.
    　　Watts Hall
    　　Watts is a four-floor residence hall located on Dorm Row housing up to 79 students. Each floor in Watts has a large TV/study lounge

    　　A set of three, nearly identical, two-story halls located near Patterson Court that includes kitchens, study rooms, and laundry rooms.

    　　Cannon Hall
    　　Cannon Hall is a four-floor residence hall located on Dorm Row housing up to 93 students in mostly double rooms. Each floor in Cannon has a large TV/study lounge.
    　　Duke Hall
    　　Duke Hall is a four-floor residence hall located on Dorm Row housing 94 students in single, double, and suite-style rooms. A common kitchen and large TV lounge are also located in Duke. Additionally, the Dean Rusk International Studies Program is located on the first floor.
    　　Little Hall
    　　Little Hall is a four-floor residence hall located on Dorm Row housing up to 73 residents. Little has large lounge spaces on each floor and a common kitchen.
    　　Chidsey Hall
    　　Davidson's newest residence hall, Chidsey Hall, is comprised of two nearly identical buildings joined by a common lounge, kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace and computer room. Each floor has a study room, lounge and kitchen. North Hall houses 120 students and South Hall houses 131 students.
    　　Tomlinson Hall
    　　Tomlinson Hall is a four-floor, suite-style residence hall housing 128 students as well as the Campus Safety Office and a campus computer lab.
    　　Martin Court Apartments
    　　A residential area comprised of seven apartment buildings housing up to 398 students. The buildings are: Armfield, Davis, Flowe, Hart, Jamieson, Martin Court B, and Ryburn.
