考點(diǎn)拾遺之二 名詞所有格
1.構(gòu)成方法
(1)一般在原有名詞詞尾加"'s",如:
Mary's father 瑪麗的爸爸 Jack's family 杰克的家庭
(2)如果原有名詞是復(fù)數(shù),詞尾帶有-s,則只加一個(gè)"'",如:
teachers' office 教師辦公室 workers' home 工人之家
?？键c(diǎn):如果表示兩人共有的概念,則只在第二名詞詞尾加"'s",如:Lucy and Lily's room 表示露希和莉莉共有一個(gè)房間。
比較:These rooms are Lucy's and Lily's. 表示露希和莉莉各有一個(gè)房間。
(3)凡是不能加's的名詞,都可以用of構(gòu)成短語表示所有關(guān)系,如:
What's the color of her hair?
她的頭發(fā)是什么顏色?
It is a picture of my family.
這是一張我的全家福。
注意:有些's和of結(jié)構(gòu)可以互換
China's long history=the long history of China
the tree's branches=the branches of the tree
2.使用范圍
名詞所有格主要用于表示有生命的東西的名詞,但也可以用于以下名詞:
(1)表示時(shí)間的名詞,如:
a day's journey 一天的旅程 today's newspaper 今天的報(bào)紙
(2)表示自然現(xiàn)象的名詞,如:
the tree's branches 樹枝 the moon's rays 月光
(3)表示國家、城市等的名詞,如:
China's long history 中國悠久的歷史 the city's parks 城市的公園
(4)表示人的群體的名詞,如:
the ship's crew 船上的工作人員 the company's new factory 公司的新工廠
(5)表示度量衡及價(jià)值的名詞,如:
a mile's distance 一英里的距離 twenty dollars' value 20美元的價(jià)值
(6)表示機(jī)構(gòu)的名詞,如:
the hotel's entrance 旅館的入口 the school's headmaster 學(xué)校的校長
3.雙重所有格
把of所有格和's所有格結(jié)合在一起、表示所有關(guān)系的結(jié)構(gòu),就構(gòu)成了名詞的雙重所有格。
(1)表示不特定的所有關(guān)系,如:
a friend of my father's 我父親的一個(gè)朋友
several cousins of Mary's 瑪麗的幾個(gè)表兄妹
(2)表示特殊情感,如:
That car of Peter's is very nice.
彼得的車確實(shí)很好。
Look at the picture, the picture of a lovely baby's.
看看那張畫,就是那張可愛寶寶的畫
