GMAT是Graduate Management Admission Test的縮寫，中文名稱為經(jīng)企管理研究生入學(xué)考試。美國、英國、澳大利亞等國家的高校都采用GMAT考試成績來評估申請入學(xué)者是否適合于在商業(yè)、經(jīng)濟(jì)和管理等專業(yè)的研究生階段學(xué)習(xí)，以決定是否錄取。GMAT考試是由美國經(jīng)企管理專業(yè)研究生入學(xué)考試委員會(GMAC)委托新澤西州普林斯頓的美國考試中心(ETS)主辦的，在我國的舉辦單位是中國國外考試協(xié)調(diào)處(CIECB)。

    GMAT考試內(nèi)容為：數(shù)學(xué)、語文和分析寫作。GMAT考試內(nèi)容包括七個部分試題，每個Section的考試時間為30分鐘，其中有閱讀理解、句子改錯、問題求解、數(shù)據(jù)填充以及原因評述各一個部分。剩下兩個部分的題型分布都不一樣。這七個Sections試題中有一個是試測性部分，不計入GMAT成績。但由于分辨不出哪個Section不計分，因此所有部分的試題均要認(rèn)真回答。
    GMAT考試內(nèi)容考察主要包括基本語言能力和數(shù)學(xué)能力。基本語言能力部分著重考察閱讀理解的能力和是否掌握標(biāo)準(zhǔn)書面英語的規(guī)則。數(shù)學(xué)能力部分則主要測試基本數(shù)學(xué)，對基礎(chǔ)數(shù)學(xué)概念的了解以及解釋數(shù)學(xué)問題和數(shù)據(jù)的能力。考題中并不涉及經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)各專業(yè)中的具體內(nèi)容或特殊的專業(yè)知識，而是要求考生對某些復(fù)雜紛紜的問題做出正確的分析和判斷，制定解決問題的方法。

    GMAT考試結(jié)束后，考生可以根據(jù)自己在考試中的表現(xiàn)，選擇保留或取消本次考試成績，從而一定程度上避免因為表現(xiàn)較差導(dǎo)致的低分被計入成績單中。但即使考試選擇了取消成績，成績單上仍會出現(xiàn)一個代表取消的“C”，對于追求完美的考生來說多少有些心里不踏實(shí)的感覺，而本次改變后，此標(biāo)示將被徹底刪除，以后也不會再顯示在成績單上，考生可以更加放心刷分，而不必?fù)?dān)心因此留下任何記錄。而之前考試成績單中的取消標(biāo)示，也將被一并刪除。
