    Chen Li: 大家好,我是陳黎.
    Vicki : I’m Vicki. Today we’re going to look at words and phrases that have recently become part of the English language.
    Chen Li: 在今天地純正英語(yǔ)節(jié)目里,我們要學(xué)習(xí)那個(gè)新詞?
    Vicki : Today’s new word is ‘rip off’.
    Chen Li: Rip off. 能解釋一下嗎?
    Vicki : Rip off means to cheat someone, to make them pay too much for something.
    Chen Li: 我明白了,rip off 的意思是欺騙人的意思,在漢語(yǔ)里類似敲竹杠或宰客的意思. 你能再說(shuō)的再詳細(xì)一點(diǎn)嗎?
    Vicki : Sure. Rip off can be a noun, so, you might say ‘don’t go to see that film. it’s a rip off’.
    Chen Li: 意思是說(shuō),看那部電影就是浪費(fèi)錢,那家電*是在欺騙人,宰客.
    Vicki : Well, yes. You can also use it as a verb. You might say ‘I think the waiter ripped us off with the restaurant bill. It was more expensive than I expected.’
    Chen Li: 看來(lái),Rip off 即可以用作動(dòng)詞也可以用作名名詞.
    Vicki : Yes, that’s right.
