    Andy is handsome and capable and very popular with people around him.朋友們認(rèn)為他如此的優(yōu)秀，以至于不得不替他擔(dān)心一件事。Andy is almost thirty, but he doesn't have a girlfriend yet! Is he too busy? 哦，看來(lái)我的學(xué)生比較理解我，知道我比較忙！So they decided to do me a favour.
    One day, one of my students showed me a photo of a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l girl and talked to me about her all the time. Blah, blah, blah……Andy 終于忍受不了了，非常抱歉的說(shuō)：“She wouldn't have been my cup of tea."什么意思呢？她不是我那杯茶嗎？想一想，是不是有什么深層的含義呢？tea 是茶的意思。not my cup of tea大概是不和我 的口味吧。啊 ！ 對(duì)了。確切的應(yīng)該翻譯成” 她不會(huì)是我的意中人“。這是美國(guó)的地道說(shuō)法。
    2）Let's bag it for now. 先放一放吧！
    相當(dāng)于：Forget about it!
    看來(lái)ANDY是一個(gè)以事業(yè)為重的人了。雖然他深知朋友們的苦心，但不得不懇求他的朋友：“Let's bag it for now." 當(dāng)然我們不能翻譯成用袋子裝起來(lái)。Would it be better if we put it this way? 翻譯成”讓我們現(xiàn)在先把它放一放“是不是更確切一點(diǎn)兒呢？
    Here is an example:
    If you have a plan, but it is not so suitable to carry it out at present, you may say, let's bag it. Anyhow, when you have made your plan that is good for you, you have to stick to it!
