    discovery是指發(fā)現(xiàn)；發(fā)覺的意思。
    例如：
    a new discovery in medical science
    醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)的新發(fā)現(xiàn)
    His discoveries included 300 uses for peanuts and 200 uses for sweet potatoes.
    他的發(fā)現(xiàn)包括花生的三百種用途和紅薯的二百種用途。

    這里我們來(lái)看一下以下幾個(gè)詞：
    discover, reveal, disclose在一起比較一般的含義是“揭示出來(lái)”。
    discover 是通用詞，在表示“發(fā)現(xiàn)”的時(shí)候，它的內(nèi)涵是被探索或被揭示物老早就客觀存在著
    Despite her great age,she was very graceful indeed, but so far ,the archaeologists have been unable to discover her identity.
    盡管她年代離開現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)很久遠(yuǎn)了，但是她的確很有風(fēng)姿，然而至今考古學(xué)家尚不能探索出她是那尊女神。

    reveal 在表示“揭示”的時(shí)候，它的內(nèi)涵是通過(guò)或好象通過(guò)拉開帷幕把某物展現(xiàn)出來(lái)
