Save the Forests
    These days we often talk about the importance of our natural resources. In many countries they are disappearing at a rapid rate and environmentalists are urging people everywhere to protect their air， water， forests， wildlife， and so on. It is difficult to choose just one natural resource to save， but in my opinion， saving the forests should be the top priority. First of all， forests help to preserve other natural resources such as water， air， and animals. Without forests， the land cannot hold water as well. This means that in a heavy rain hillsides will collapse， causing great damage. Not only that， but without the protection of trees， the nutrient-rich topsoil will be washed away and nothing will be able to grow on the land. Trees also help to clean the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. And， of course， forests are the natural habitat of many wild animals. Without them， these animals will not be able to survive. Another reason to preserve our forests is that large numbers of trees can help to mitigate the greenhouse effect by absorbing solar radiation. And finally， forests are a place where people can get close to nature， and if they learn to love nature， they will want to preserve all the earth's natural resources. All of the earth's natural resources are important， and we should all work to save them. The reason that I choose the forests as most important is because they help us in so many ways. By saving the forests， I believe we can save the planet.

    拯救森林
    如今，我們經(jīng)常討論天然資源的重要性。在許多國(guó)家，天然資源正在快速消失中。環(huán)保人士向全世界的人呼吁要保護(hù)空氣、水、森林、野生動(dòng)植物等資源。只選一樣資源加以保護(hù)是很困難的，但依我之見(jiàn)，應(yīng)該要優(yōu)先考慮拯救森林。
    首先，森林有助于保存其他的天然資源，比如水、空氣和動(dòng)物。如果沒(méi)有森林，土壤就無(wú)法涵養(yǎng)水分。這意味著下大雨的時(shí)候，山坡會(huì)崩塌，造成極大的損害。不僅如此，如果沒(méi)有樹(shù)木的保護(hù)，富含養(yǎng)分的表土層就會(huì)被沖刷掉，土地就長(zhǎng)不出任何東西。樹(shù)木還會(huì)吸收二氧化碳，制造氧氣，有助于凈化空氣。而且森林是很多野生動(dòng)物的自然棲息地，如果沒(méi)有森林，這些動(dòng)物將無(wú)法生存。另外一個(gè)要保護(hù)森林的理由是，大量的樹(shù)木可以吸收太陽(yáng)輻射，以此緩和溫室效應(yīng)的影響。最后一點(diǎn)，森林是人類(lèi)可以接近大自然的地方，如果人類(lèi)學(xué)會(huì)愛(ài)護(hù)大自然，就會(huì)想保存地球上所有的天然資源。
    地球上所有的天然資源都很重要，我們應(yīng)該共同努力去拯救它們。我選擇森林為最重要的資源，是因?yàn)樯趾芏喾矫娑紝?duì)我們有益。通過(guò)拯救森林，我相信我們也能夠拯救地球。
