一、用作介詞
穿過,跨過,到(在)…的另一邊:
There is a bridge across the river. 河的兩邊有橋相連。
We swam across the river. 我們游到河了對(duì)岸。
I walked across the park. 我穿過公園走去。
He hurried across the bridge. 他匆匆走過橋去。
She went across the street to buy a paper. 她過街去買一張報(bào)。
二、用作副詞:
穿過,跨過,從一邊到另一邊:
Can you swim across? 你能游過對(duì)岸去嗎?
The stream is 8 feet across. 小溪有八英尺寬。
【用法辨析】
across 與 through:前者指在面上穿過,后者指在里面或在一定范圍內(nèi)穿過:walk across the playground 走過操坪 / walk through a forest 走過森林
【易錯(cuò)說明】
across 用作介詞或副詞,不能用作動(dòng)詞。比較:cross 是動(dòng)詞。如:go across a bridge 過橋 / cross a bridge 過橋
