這次展覽為邱昕在星空間舉辦的第二次個(gè)展，主題為悲觀的樂(lè)觀主義：The pessimistic optimist。
邱昕的繪畫似乎與他的身形有些暗和：這個(gè)有著發(fā)達(dá)肌肉的健美男的作品都是巨大尺幅的，甚至搬動(dòng)他的畫框都需要很大力氣。對(duì)力量的迷戀不僅體現(xiàn)在邱昕作品的尺幅上，更貫穿著他選擇的題材中。粗獷的筆觸，壓迫性的體量，這種直觀的生猛讓人不免的聯(lián)想到青春期的躁動(dòng)。然而，在囂張的表象背后，仍然可以感受到些許的焦慮，以及希望發(fā)出聲音的迫切心情。
This is the second solo exhibition of Qiu Xin hold in Star Gallery, and the theme is : ‘The pessimistic optimist’.
Qiu Xin;s works seems to bear a resemblance to his person, this bulky, bodybuilding artist’s canvases art all enormous; even moving them around the studio is physical feat.
Qiu Xin’s infatuation with strength is not only demonstrated in the size of his works, it penetrates even deeper to influence his choice of subjects. Direct visualizations of fierce poser manifested through crude brushstrokes and oppressive size make associations with a pubescent restlessness unavoidable. Even so, behind this aggressive presentation, we can still feel a tinge of the artist’s apprehension and voice aching to be heard.
