穿越電視劇是近幾年流行起來(lái)的一種影視劇類(lèi)型，鮮明標(biāo)志是其劇情或多或少涉及到穿越時(shí)空這一話題。穿越是穿越時(shí)間和空間的簡(jiǎn)稱，通俗的是指某人物因?yàn)槟吃?，?jīng)過(guò)某過(guò)程（也可以無(wú)原因無(wú)過(guò)程），從所在時(shí)空（A時(shí)空）穿越到另一時(shí)空（B時(shí)空）的事件，穿越又分為魂穿、架空穿越、胎穿、肉體穿越等等。影視劇劇情基本以此為線索展開(kāi)。如《宮鎖心玉》、《穿越時(shí)空的愛(ài)戀》、《尋秦記》，《魔幻手機(jī)》，《步步驚心》等。
    從不久前創(chuàng)下收視高峰的《宮》到現(xiàn)在熱播的《步步驚心》，穿越劇成了當(dāng)下眾人追捧的對(duì)象，"穿越迷"也越來(lái)越多。盡管人們對(duì)穿越劇褒貶不一，但是穿越劇的收視持續(xù)走高卻是不爭(zhēng)的事實(shí)。
