M: Maria, let’s go to watch the tennis match this Friday night.
W: I already called the ticket office and the girl said all the tickets have been sold out.
M: I know they have been sold out, but there will surely be some people hanging around the stadium trying to sell tickets.
W: But the prices will be really expensive.
M: Don’t worry. We can buy the cheapest ones and still enjoy the match.
W: But who knows whether or not the tickets will be real.
M: That’s easy. We can go to the gate to have them checked before paying.
W: We’d better have one of us go to check the tickets, and the other stay with the seller. And if the tickets are real, we’ll pay him and go to watch the match.
M: Good! Let’s meet at the school gate at 7 o’clock this Friday evening.
1. Please get ready to ask three questions according to the following Chinese tips.
Q1: What should I take with me to the game?
A1: You’d better take some warm clothes. You know, it’s autumn now. Although it’s warm in the day time, it gets pretty cold at night in the stadium. Besides, I think we should also take an umbrella with us in case it rains.
Q2: What about inviting Bob and Sam to watch the match together with us?
A2:That’s really a good idea. But I’m afraid they have decided to go camping this weekend with some other friends. I heard that they are going to leave this Friday. But we can invite them next time.
Q3: How will we come back after the game?
A3: We can take a bus. Just get out from Exit A and cross the street. There is a bus station by a mall. We can also take a taxi. The bus fare is one dollar and it runs every 10 minutes or so while taking a taxi costs 15 to 20 dollars.
