Muscle Beach in California is where Arnold Schwarzenegger acquired his bulk and defined a fitness culture. But competitive bodybuilding is more about looks than longevity. So what does it take to build a body that will survive for a long time? In this programme, lifting weights, treadmills and circuit training, do they hold the secret to the fountain of youth?
            "Most people lose muscle as they age. So when you start to add strength training as one of your priorities, now you are adding muscle every year. So you're literally reversing that ageing process."
            Could the answer for men be found in the bottle?
            "If you have a healthy testosterone level, as you age, your quality of life's gonna be great. Your sexual function is gonna maintain itself like a 30, 35-year-old. You're gonna be able to work out. You're gonna enjoy working out. So you keep the body fat off. Your cognitive function is gonna improve. And your risk for heart disease will go down."
