    An apartment manager is showing an apartment to a potential renter.

    M: The mailboxes are right down there, and the laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers is over there.
    經(jīng)理：信箱就在那邊，那兒的洗衣房有投幣式洗衣機和烘干機。
    R: I see. Well, it's nothing spectacular, but it' s pretty cheap for an apartment in a decent neighborhood...O.K., I think I'll take it.
    承租人：嗯，那沒啥特別，不過公寓在高級住宅區(qū)里這價錢是很便宜……好吧，我要租。
    M: All right, do you want to sign a nine-month or a one-year lease?
    經(jīng)理：好啊，您想簽9個月或1年的房契呢？
    R: I think I'll sign a nine-month lease in case I decide not to go to summer school. I can extend it if I want to stay, can't I?
    承租人：我想我就簽9個月的房租以防萬一我決定不念暑期學校。如果我想留下來時我可以延長租期，不是嗎？
    M: Sure. Just let us know before your lease expires. (to be continued)
