一、be used for +名詞或動(dòng)詞-ing，意為“用于”、“被用來供……”，介詞for表示“用途”。例如：
    A stamp is used for sending letters.郵票用來寄信。
    A brush pen is used for writing.毛筆用來寫字。
    二、be used as +名詞，意為“被用來當(dāng)作……”，介詞as表示“作為”。例如：
    This room is used as their office.這個(gè)房間被用作他們的辦公室。
    But it is also used very widely as a foreign lan- guage in many other countries of the world.但在世界上許多其他國家里它(英語)也作為一種外語被廣泛使用。
    三、be used to +動(dòng)詞原形，意為“被用來……”。其中used為use的過去分詞。例如：
    The knife can be used to cut meat.刀能用來切肉。
    四、used to +動(dòng)詞原形，意為“過去常?！薄＠纾?BR>    He used to go to church on Sundays.他以前每個(gè)星期天都去教堂。
    She used to get up early.她過去習(xí)慣早起。
    五、be /get used to +名詞或動(dòng)詞-ing，意為“習(xí)慣于……”。其中used是形容詞，to為介詞，其后接名詞或動(dòng)詞-ing。例如：
    I'm not quite used to the weather here yet.我還不太習(xí)慣這兒的天氣。
    She isn'tused to staying up late.她不習(xí)慣熬夜。
    He has got used to living in the city.他已習(xí)慣于住在城市里了。
