    二、使用指南
    1. 表示祝賀時(shí)，用得最多的兩個(gè)詞是congratulate 和 congratulations。使用它們時(shí)應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn)：
    (1) congratulate 是動(dòng)詞，一般要以“人”作賓語，而不以“事”作賓語。若要具體表明是因?yàn)槟呈露ＹR某人，要用介詞 on，即說成 congratulate sb on sth。
    (2) congratulation 是名詞，且通常用復(fù)數(shù)形式。它可以單獨(dú)使用，也可在其后接介詞短語來說明是因何事而祝賀(用on)或向誰祝賀(用to)。
    (3) congratulate 以及 congratulations 表示祝賀時(shí)，可用于成功、獲勝、結(jié)婚、畢業(yè)以及生日等場(chǎng)合，但一般不用于節(jié)日致詞。
    2. 中國人以謙虛為美德，面對(duì)祝賀時(shí)，人們往往回答說“沒什么”或“哪里，哪里”。但在用英語中，人們通常用感謝來回答祝賀。如果要想謙虛一番，可以說 I’m just very lucky (我只是很幸運(yùn)而已)。
