    It was Grandma‘s birthday.

    Max brought the eggs home to Ruby.
    “Don’t bump the table， Max！” said Ruby.
    But it was too late.
    Ruby sent Max back to store with a list that said： Milk .
    Max 買了雞蛋回來給Ruby。
    “Max 你不要撞著桌子” Ruby說。
    但是太遲了，Max 不小心將牛奶打翻了。
    Ruby要Max再去商店買東西。清單上寫著：牛奶。
    This time Max wrote “Red-Hot Marshmallow Squirters” in a different way.
    Max hoped and hoped for his Squirters ，

    Ruby 說：“Max， 廚房是沒有可以容納你的地方了。你到別處吧！”

    She baked it and cooled it and iced it with raspberry-fluff frosting.
    “It needs something eles， Max，” said Ruby.
    “Birthday candles ，silver stars ，sugar hearts. buttercream rose，” Wrote Ruby.Meanwhile Max had a brand-new idea .
    Ruby烤了蛋糕，冰凍它并且將光滑的草莓糖衣淋上蛋糕。
    Ruby對Max 說：“我還需要其他東西.”

    He drew a picture of Red-Hot Marshmallow Squirters on Ruby‘s list and
    ran to the grocer .He could not wait.
    “Birthday candles， silver stars， sugar hearts ， buttercream roses！”
    Said the grocer。
    What’s this？why，it must be Red-Hot Marshmallow Squirters！“
    Max在Ruby寫的清單上畫了熾熱棉花糖注射器的樣子兵飛奔到雜貨店。

    雜貨店員看著清單說“生日蠟燭，銀色星星，心形糖果，玫瑰奶油乳酪。

    Ruby‘s cake looked just beautiful 。
    Max went out and put caterpillar icing on his earthworm cake.

    Grandma was so thrilled， she didn’t know which cake to eat first.

    中間的孩子的郁悶
    Well，first there was Raymond . Uh-huh. And then came Lee. That‘s me.

    Kate， she was next ，So that made three.
    我旁邊的就是Kate.這就是我們3兄妹。

    Max的巧克力雞
    One morning sombody put a chocolate chicken in the bridbath .
    某一早上有人將一只巧克力雞放在雞窩上。
    “I love you！”Said Max .
    Max對著巧克力雞說：“我太喜歡你了！”
    “ wait， Max “ Said Max‘s sister ，Ruby .
    “ First we go on get an egg hunt ， if you find the most eggs ，then you get the chocolate chicken .
    And if i find the most eggs ， then i get the chocolate chicken. “ said Ruby .
    當(dāng)Max想拿起巧克力雞的時候，Max的姐姐Ruby拉著Max說“ 等等 ?！?BR>    “首先我們先進行一次尋找蛋游戲，如果你找到最多蛋，那么巧克力雞就給你。
    如果我找到最多蛋，那么巧克力雞歸我所有?！盧uby說的。
    Max went looking for eggs ， but all he found was a mud puddle .
    Ruby find a big yellow egg . but Max didn’t find any .
    “ No eggs ，no chicken ， Max “ Said Ruby .
    Max開始找蛋，但是他找到卻是一灘泥。
    Ruby找到一個黃色的大蛋。但是Max沒有找到蛋。
    Max就感到很灰心，Ruby就跟他說“沒有找到蛋，就沒有巧克力雞吃了?！?BR>    Max went looking again ，but all he found were acorns .
    Ruby found a blue egg .
    “ Max， “ Said Ruby， “ pull yourself tegether， otherwise you‘ll never get the chocolate chicken .”
    Max繼續(xù)尋找，但是他找到卻是橡實。
    Ruby又找到一個藍(lán)色蛋。
    Ruby對Max 說“你要振作點，不然你是不可能拿到巧克力雞的?！?BR>    So Max went looking with Ruby .
    Ruby found a red egg with green stars .Max found a spoon .
    Ruby found a gold egg with purple stripes .and a turquoise with silver swirls and a lavender egg with orange polka dots.Max found some ants .
    所以Max就跟著Ruby尋找蛋。
    Ruby找到一個帶綠色星星的紅色蛋。Max就找一個勺子。
    Ruby找到一個帶紫色條紋的金色得蛋、一個帶銀色漩渦圍繞的藍(lán)綠色的蛋和一個帶橙色圓點的淡紫色的蛋。Max就找到一些螞蟻。
    Then he made ant-and-acorn pancakes.
    “ Max，” Said Ruby，“ you’d have trouble finding your own ears if they weren‘t attach to your head .”
    MAX將他找到的東西做成螞蟻橡實煎餅。
    Ruby就跟Max說“如果你是不用心去尋找彩蛋的，你是不會找到任何彩蛋的。”
    But Max ran away . And hit .
    但是MAx 抱著巧克力雞跑開并且躲起來。
    The birdbath was empty.
    “Where are you ，Max ？ “Ruby called . Max ate the chicken’s tail .
    雞窩上是空的，巧克力雞不見了。
    Ruby就呼叫著Max “ 你在哪里啊？” 就在這時候，Max吃了巧克力雞的尾巴了。
    “ I see you， Max “ Said Ruby . But she didn‘t .
    Max ate the chicken’s head .
    “ I wll give you haf the chocolate chickent ， Max！ “ yelled Ruby.
    Max ate the chicken‘s wings.
    “我看到你在哪里了Max ?！盧uby說。其實她并沒有看見Max的。
    這時候，Max吃了巧克力雞的頭。
    Ruby喊叫著說“我會給一半巧克力雞給你的，Max ！”
    Max又吃了巧克力雞的翅膀。
    Then he popped out of his hidding place .
    “ Max ，” Said Ruby. “ how could you do this to me？ “
    然后Max在他藏身的地方蹦出來。
    “ Max ，你怎么可以這樣對我呢？”Ruby說
    “ I love you ！ ” Said Max .
    這時候不知道誰偷偷又放了一只巧克力雞。Max 看著那只巧克力雞說“我真的太愛你了！”
