        小學(xué)一年級(jí)英語(yǔ)成語(yǔ)故事(帶翻譯)

        字號(hào):

            英語(yǔ)閱讀能力是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者其它語(yǔ)言能力發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)。閱讀對(duì)于學(xué)生的具有重要的作用,閱讀不僅能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)感,還能促進(jìn)詞匯積累,提高寫(xiě)作水平。對(duì)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合能力大有幫助,是學(xué)好英語(yǔ)的主要手段和有效途徑。以下是整理的相關(guān)資料,希望您能有所收獲。
            篇一
It is never too late to mend.
Once upon a time, there was a shepherd who kept several sheep.
One morning, the shepherd discovered that one of his sheep was missing. It turned out that, during the night, a wolf had stolen his sheep through a hole in the sheep pen.
His neighbor suggested to him: “You should fix the pen and cover the hole right away.”
鄰居勸告他說(shuō):“趕快把羊圈修一修,堵上那個(gè)窟窿吧?!?BR>    But the shepherd said: “The sheep is already lost, so I don‘t need to repair it.” And so he rejected the neighbor’s suggestion.
The next morning, he discovered that another sheep was missing.Once again, the wolf stole the sheep through the hole in the fence.
The shepherd regretted not taking the neighbor‘s advice. So he plugged the hole to secure the sheep pen.
From then on, no more sheep was stolen by the wolf.
英語(yǔ)中如果想表達(dá)同樣的意思,我們可以說(shuō)“It is never too late to mend.”,也就是“補(bǔ)救永遠(yuǎn)不嫌太晚”。
to feel just like a fish in water
In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the country was in confusion.
In order to reunite the country, Liu Bei paid a visit to Zhu Geliang who had hidden himself in the countryside.
He went there twice but didn‘t see Zhu Geliang. Then the third time he finally met him.
Liu Bei explained why he came and explained his noble ambition to Zhu Geliang.Zhu Geliang also proposed some very good strategies.
After listening, Liu Bei was so happy, he appointed Zhu Geliang as his military advisor. He said: “Zhu Geliang to me is as water is to fish.”
他說(shuō):“我劉備有了諸葛亮,就好像魚(yú)兒有了水一樣?!?BR>    With the assistance of Zhu Geliang, Liu Bei’s power expanded rapidly, and finally he realized his goal.
Nowadays, this phrase is often used to describe the person who stays in the environment which suits him/her perfectly, or someone who is very adept at using the suitable or right methods.
            “如魚(yú)得水”用英文可以表達(dá)為“feel just like a fish in water”,我們來(lái)看一個(gè)例句:
I‘ve wanted to study at Beijing University my whole life. I also love the culture and the weather in Beijing. I feel just like a fish in water.
The early bird catches the worm
A bird hatches six baby birds. The Sixth is very weak and small; his sisters and brothers usually bully him.The other birds usually rob food from his mouth, and the Sixth has to suffer from hunger.
Sisters and Brothers call him “clumsy bird.”
He determines to exercise more to be healthier, in order to not be laughed by his sisters and brothers.
The Sixth has a strong will and gets up very early every day.He always finishes exercising and eating worms by the time his sisters and brothers wake up.
When the winter is coming and the bird flock prepare to fly to the south, the “clumsy bird” is the first one to start flying.
            所以,如果有一天你很早起床去學(xué)校,朋友很驚訝,問(wèn)你:“Why are you so early?”
